Commercial Roofing in Pittsburgh, PA
Most of Pittsburgh's commercial roofs are flat roofs on older buildings. Brick storefronts on neighborhood business streets, churches and schools from the early 1900s, warehouses in the Strip District and along the rivers, and the plazas and office parks that went up in the suburbs after the war. Many have been recovered more than once, and the parapets, chimneys and roof drains on them are older than any of the membranes. We trace leaks to the actual entry point, photograph what failed, and price the repair in writing before any work starts. When a roof is finished, we use core cuts to find out what is under it before we quote a tear-off or a recover.

Leaking right now? Protect the inside first
Move belongings away from the drip, shut off power to any wet light fixture, and stay off the roof in a storm or on ice. Then request service: an active leak can usually be dried in until the permanent repair.
Commercial Roofing — FAQs
Most commercial leak repairs, such as a seam, a parapet flashing, a pitch pocket or a drain, run about $350–$2,500. Replacement typically runs $6–$13 per square foot, and a qualifying recover is often less. See the cost guide.
TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, built-up tar-and-gravel, and metal. If a roof is under a manufacturer warranty, tell us, because repairs on it may need to follow that manufacturer's details.
Usually. Commercial work is done in sections, with each section dried in at the end of the day. Noise, rooftop unit shut-offs and crane days are scheduled with you ahead of time.
Not always. If the existing roof is a single layer, the insulation is dry and the deck is sound, a recover can be allowed. If the roof is wet or already has two layers, it has to come off. Core cuts answer the question. See repair or replace a tar and gravel roof.
Twice a year, spring and fall, and after major storms. See the flat roof inspection checklist.
